For airlines
The European Standard for Travel with Canine Animals (ESTCA) defines a common training and certification framework so that carriers can rely on a single, verifiable credential linked to a public registry, rather than ad hoc paperwork.
Airlines considering ESTCA adoption typically review: alignment with operational and veterinary requirements; registry verification workflows; data fields available on estca.eu; and contractual arrangements with Stichting ESTCA and ESTCA B.V. as appropriate.
Technical and policy discussions should be directed through ESTCA B.V. corporate channels. This website does not replace the public standard text on estca.eu.
Verification flow
Each ESTCA pass carries a QR code that resolves to the public registry entry. Gate staff scan once; the registry confirms the certificate is current, the microchip matches, and the issuing trainer is accredited.
No login. No paperwork. No call to a help desk.
